Valley Isle Pumping operates more private wastewater treatment plants on Maui than all other service contractors combined.

Dominick Marino, the company president, is a Hawaii State licensed grade 3 operator, and has operated treatment plants ranging from 3,000 gallons per day to six million gallons per day.

Dominick's experience includes 12 wastewater plants and three water plants on the mainland, and about 35 wastewater plants on Maui.

All wastewater treatment plants on Maui are biological. Massive tanks of bacteria are maintained at ideal living conditions. The bacteria are fed sewage, which is converted to water, gasses, and more bacteria. Treatment plant operation requires the mechanical manipulation of a biological environment to optimize conditions.
